The “world” may regard the Gospel as “foolish,” but to believers, it is the focal point, the reason of our existence, the “crux” of the Christian life.
The Gospel of Mark (pt. 8) / After the nation rejected the offer of the Kingdom by Jesus, His strategy changes as He teaches in parables. Afterward, He again demonstrates His authority by instantly calming a raging storm of wind and waves of the sea.
Daniel: Who‘s Really in Control? (pt. 8) / God gave Daniel a vision of the future which included a glimpse of the antichrist and God’s future victory.
The Gospel of Mark (pt. 7) / The unpardonable sin, blasphemy against the Holy Spirit was the ultimate complaint the Jewish leaders of Jesus’ day brought against Him, thus sealing their fate as well as those of the nation who followed them. After continually complaining about Jesus, this was the last straw as far as the Kingdom offer was concerned.
Daniel: Who‘s Really in Control? (pt. 7) / God is in complete control, and He has the right to humble those who lift themselves up in pride.
The Gospel of Mark (pt. 6) / Upon His return to Capnaum, the Lord Jesus heals a man paralyzed, calls Levi, a tax collector to discipleship, addressing numerous complaints lodged against Him by His enemies, namely over the Sabbath.
Daniel: Who‘s Really in Control? (pt. 6) / Daniel’s three friends exemplified godly character and integrity as they refused to conform to the culture.
The Gospel of Mark (pt. 5) / Upon His return to Galilee from Judea, Jesus regathers initial disciples, casts out a demon, heals Peter’s mother-in-law from a serious fever, spent time praying, and healed/cleansed a leper, all authenticating His claims concerning Himself.
Daniel: Who‘s Really in Control? (pt. 5) / God knows the future and has revealed His general program for the Gentile nations of earth through Nebuchadnezzar’s dream.
